Frolic offers two weekends of fun for the entire family as Quiet Valley comes alive with baby animals! This is a unique opportunity for children and the young-at-heart to see a variety of animals up close and personal. Watch baby chicks hatching from their eggs and feel the soft fur of the baby bunnies. Don’t miss the lambs with their woolly fleeces and the frisky baby goats. The adorable baby piglets with their funny little noses charm everyone. Get to know the workhorses, Jenny and Judy, and all they are used for on the farm.

A 4.5 Mile Run, or 2.6 Mile Fitness Walk along the Levee Loop Trail. Raise funds for Stroud Greenways while enjoying one of our favorite greenways! Participants get a commemorative t-shirt. Rain or shine.

The Levee Loop Trail Run is mostly even ground, but does have uneven terrain between Creekview Park and Stokes Mill Park. We recommend walking this stretch of the trail to see the more difficult terrain. Walkers will be on even gravel or grass paths.

Stroudsburg Chess Club is hosting a Free, Unrated Chess Tournament on June 6. It’s a special chance to join a competitive chess tournament without any extra costs or needing a USCF membership. Anyone interested in playing can participate! Registration takes place on June 6 from 7 pm to 7:15 pm. The tournament will last for approximately 2 hours, with a time control of 15 minutes per player and a 5-second delay per move.

FREE COMMUNITY EVENT – The Sherman Theater and the African American Network of the Poconos present the 21st Annual Juneteenth Freedom Festival to be held in Courthouse Square, Stroudsburg on Saturday, June 17 from 2:00 to 6:30 PM. This event commemorates Emancipation Day and celebrates freedom.
There will be live music all day, food, vendors, educational fun and networking opportunities.
